Well obviously, if it's a friendly they can do what they like, but in the original post they already insinuated they are trying to use the E-5 rule, so I just stated what shots they are playing using the rule E-5 recomendation.
If it was just a friendly round of golf, and not a handicap qualifying round
Then Player 1, plays 4 from anywhere up to two clubs onto the fairway not nearer the hole from where the ball crossed the OOB
Player 2, also plays 4 from anywhere up to two clubs onto the fairway not nearer the hole...
Of course take a provisional when in doubt, but if you and Neilds can't see the scenerio that sometimes happens then fair enough, you and him can walk all the way back to the tee if you want.
I know I play a lot of golf, but I reckon it happens to me about half a dozen times a year when I can't...
What on every shot, just in case you can't find your original shot, and then a provisionsal on your provisional in case you can't find that. How much extra time is that going to take
We have been using this rule E-5 in our society events for the last 4 years. I personally think that it should be brought into all forms of competitions.
The amount of time it potentially saves, especially nowadays when everyone moans about not being able to get round in sub 3 hours ;)
