So had my final session on Trackman on Tuesday (studio membership expired and I’ve left that club) and I worked on the new feel I’ve been trying for a couple of weeks now. The feel is simply starting my downswing while my back is still facing the target, not starting it with my shoulders as I...
Everything about it so far has a "woe is me" feel to it. Everything except Tiger is to blame for his multiple accidents it seems. He's now been given permission to leave the country to get treatment for "his privacy". Normal Joe Bloggs would have been locked up by now...
I'm usually not fully committed either, this winter has easily been the most committed to speed training I've been in the last 6 years of doing it and even then it was twice a week at most, sometimes just once a week. Normally I'd do some speed training for about 8 weeks before the season starts...
Chunking it off a mat means you catch it high in the face and get low spin flyers, seen it quite a few times over the winter were a 6 iron spin would drop to the low 2000's on Trackman. The shots usually go way left as well as the chunk closes the club face at the same time.
Why do you think you can't swing any faster? Just curious.
I'm 50 this year and I'm much faster now than when I took the game up again in 2016. I'm faster now than when I first bought speed sticks in 2019. I can remember after doing my first winter speed training back then the fastest ball...
Seen a couple of reviews of the LM1 and for the price it's accurate enough. I also like how you can just plonk it down behind you without any faffing around.
Still, if I was in the market for a launch monitor at that price then the original Rapsodo MLM is hard to beat. It's been around for...
Last one I played in was like 25,20,15 and 10% or something like that. When we found out it was 10% combined and the group behind us were "only" getting 6 shots we thought why might have a chance of getting in the top 3 if we holed some putts.
Aye, pleasant surprise. Best putting I've seen from a scramble team I've been on, we must have holed over 200 feet of putts. Didn't miss anything that was a good chance and stole about 4 birdies with putts over 20 feet. Just one of those days when everything goes in, and I think the handicapping...
What was the PCC?
Some days the upper limit of 3 really should be thrown out. I remember one comp last May the lowest gross on the day was 81 (+9), think I shot 86 that day, the PCC just can't cope with days like that.
How much is the full fee? £450 in 5 years is quite a jump.
I just had a look through some old emails and found my renewal for 2019 which was £754 including EG and county fees. This year is was £948 so I guess in the grand scheme of things it's decent value.
I’m in North East England, we’ve seen over 100% more rain than expected but I’ve managed to play most weekends. Sure, it’s been grim some days but a few thermal layers and off you go.
