My season showed promise but couldn't quite get my hands on any silverware. Lost the county championship in a play off for the 2nd year running, made it to the semi finals of the county matchplay championship, 4th place in the club championship and top 10 in our 2 big opens.

The course is out at the South End of the town. You're right, it is fairly open but the rough is quite thick and the ball sits right down in it so its tough to get out of. The greenkeeper has it like this as its the main defence the course has. You're also right about the wind.

Slightly off topic but found out the other night a guy who used to be a member at our club, he passed away in January , had an Olympic bronze medal for hockey from the 1952 games.

I have it through talk talk, costs £30 to add it to your package but it is a rolling contract and you can remove it after 1 month. I just add it for the majors, the Ryder Cup and the darts at Christmas time.

Just watched it on the iPlayer and thought it wasn't bad at all. I definitely keep watching.

None this year so far but fingers crossed. Been a pod in the Caithness area so hopefully they'll come a bit further north.
