I am trying to understand the Adjustable Fight Technology used by Cobra and othere...
what is the difference in changing the set-up to closed (or open) and just adjusting your grip at set-up to close (or open) the face?
I assume I am missing something?
Cheers

I had an attack of the Shermans last year...
Went for a lesson and the pro identifed a problem with my release. I was not squaring the clubhead through impact and leading with the heel. This also manifests itself as a slice with the driver (cutting across the ball).
Nothing to do with my set-up...
A question for existing SkyCaddie owners:
I know you can record your own courses (seemingly greens only) but is it possible to modify a course and re-save under another name?
I am thinking specifically of mapping winter greens on my home course while preserving all other hazards etc.
Have...
Thanks for the feedback.
If you have complete confidence in the club in your hands it must be worth a few shots.
I was looking at the SkyCaddie Plans www.skygolf.com/skygolf/plans/default.aspx
and wondered how the Birdie Plan ('state' coverage) translates on this side of the pond. Is it one...
Played at Lundin in Fife yesterday and discussed this with their pro.
He says that Sky Caddie revisit the course regularly and refine their measurements. So the data seems to evolve and improve over time.
I play 85% of my golf on one course and only visit maybe a dozen courses per year so not...
Just enjoyed a cracking day out at Lundin links in Fife.
Have played this course a few times but never in winter.
Cold but the sun shone all day.
The whole course was in play; no mats, rubber tees or temp greens (in fact the greens were in superb nick).
Some green-staff at work rebuilding...
Am considering treating myself to one of these.
It doesn't specify on the website whether any courses are included in the purchase price?
Do you get any? or do you have to pay an annual sub?
Like the idea of calibrating your own yardages but won't be much use in winter on temp greens (unless in...
Is it possible to purchase Strokesavers online or by mail order from one supplier rather than just at the clubs? Seen a few on ebay, but just odds and ends.
I am dreaming of a summer tour and want to whet my appetite.
Cheers
My 3 wood is a TM V-Steel which I guess is at the large end.
I was looking at the TM Burner Hybrids and their heads are much larger than my current TM Rescue Mid.
Are fairways and hybrids converging?
I am thinking about ditching my 3 wood (which I rarely use) and replacing it with a 17 degree hybrid.
I feel I would get much more use off the deck with the hybrid but am unsure about what distance I would lose from the tee?

Finally had a custom fitting yesterday at Aberdour GC in Fife (on a friend's recommendation).
Pro spent over an hour trying various clubs and combinations. No high tech gadgetry but a useful experience.
When I hit the TM Burner+ it went way past the rest.
Impressed by the TM fitting centre which...
Is it too late to join you at Muckhart next week?
I am new to the forum but stay locally in Auchterarder and have only just read about the outing in the mag.
What numbers have you got?
What is the format?
Cheers
A few months ago I attended a 'brain training' seminar at nearby Gleneagles.
The guy recommended setting goals for practice...
For example play Par18 on the practice green: Drop 9 balls around the green and keep score to hole out all nine. Establish a personal best and try to better it each...
Has anyone tried the new combo iron/hybrid set from Cleveland?
Was voted best game-improver set in TG magazine however not seen it yet.
Not on Cleveland UK website yet but can be viewed on US site (see link below).
Called my local Cleveland dealer and he hasn't got a demo yet either
