If you search my threads i enquired about the G3, 5 and 6. I've taken the plunge today with the 6. I have been researching all of them for a few weeks now. The G8 has a few extra functions like showing you where the pin is if you are playing blind etc, it also shows you how far a hole is playing...

Do you have any problems when you've hit it into a different fairway? Does it ever show you the distances to hazards or is it just a case of moving the marker on the screen?

Plastic golf sets? I don't mean the toy ones but the ones schools use for pe sessions?

You can get a nice set for that price! You can get second hand sets for less than £100 so £300 is really good. Get fitted from a specialist shop

If you go 'off line' i.e. on a different fairway does it still give you accurate distances?

Hey all i've been researching the Garmin approach series in a lot of detail lol The garmin G3 is very well priced, however doesn't offer distances to hazards like the G5 does (unless you move the curser). The G6 looks soooo much better, has the distance markers for drives and the interface...
