Every week. Our club is totally equal. Every regular competition is open to anyone with a handicap so all weekend stablefords/medals etc are open to all. My last medal I had a senior lady, junior, low male handicapper and myself in our four ball.
It's simple, at our club we do have equality. Competitions are open to everyone playing from your own tees. You book with who you want to play with and play with them. My last comp was myself, a senior, a junior and a lady in our four ball. Total equality which is why we joined our club.
Also...
I played the front nine on saturday 10 over my handicap with my driver, the back nine I played 5 under my handicap with my 3 wood off the tee. Its really a no brainer for me to leave the driver at home until I can afford lessons.
Only walked off once for weather, a blizzard by the 7th hole.
Never walked off or N/R for bad play, if the cards gone to pot I use it as a training session, hybrid off every tee its like on course practice. The worse that can happen is a 0.1 back and its better than being in the office.
When I was in the army I shared a room with a Royal Corps of Transport driver. He was 6'5" tall and had to have his army bed especially made for him. When he layed down to sleep I think he was the longest driver we had.
Do I win a prize.....
Welcome to the madhouse/forum by the way.
I'm going backwards at the moment, I storm matchplay but can't do a thing but go backwards in any other game.
I have just joined a new club with a much harder and longer course so I fear there will be lots of 0.1's back before winter.
Tom,
You have been playing golf for a long time and seen some rule changes in that time. What do you think will be the next big rule change now that puttergate seems to have calmed down?
