About 18 months ago I went for a fitting which I paid for and was fitted with a set of Ping i525. Lovely heads but the shaft he recommended was the Ping Alta CB graphite in a stiff but soft stepped twice and a green spot and power lofts (1.5* strong)

I bought an Odessey Jailbird square to square a few months ago and can say my putting was great ….no 3 putts and stress free 2 puts….until yesterday when I had 41 putts…it was all those pesky 3 to 5 footers I was missing mainly left and then overcompensating to the right….hope it improves before...
I was in a similar situation where I was new to a club and trying to fit in....
so in the quarter final round of a matchplay knockout and I was off 14 at the time and him about 6. so kept getting snipes about my handicap....are you sure you're off 14, never seen a 14 handicap drive a ball...
How much do you think previous experience affects your game?
I play my UK club regularly and the 2 in Spain regularly but mostly play terribly.
I have come round to thinking that this may be due to my previous bad experiences and 'baggage' associated with the courses. they are in my head...
Flatten out your swing as this should encourage a more in to out path.
Do you know what you are doing?….in other words is it the swing path or open face or both?
Just look at how long it took Sheffler to switch to a mallet….and only then on the recommendation of Rory….give it another year or so then have a laugh….😆
