One of the flaws not addressed with the new system is those handicaps based on playing most of the golf at one golf course vs a handicap based on playing many different golf courses. For example my handicap in the UK is 5 where i play mostly ine course, in Thailand where i play many courses its...
The players and caddies were obviously fazed by this, no certainty of the rule, i was there. The new rule when agreed should have been nice and simple to remember, replace the ball in all cases. We had to wait 10 mins to get a referee out.
I was watching the LPGA in Thailand today and there was a rule confusion. It didn't get mentioned by the media but I'm interested if the ruling was correct.
On the putting green she grounded her club and the ball moved (not caused by her). Brittany Lincicombe, Brooke Henderson and Jessica all...
I bet 10 baht that it will be based on the USGA system. I imagine they are going through the process of proving the best option. The USGA is the most logical calculation. One thing though, you can't work out in your head how much your handicap will change after a competition unlike CONGU
Yes i had two handicaps in Thailand one CONGU and One USGA. I left the CONGU group and my handicap isn't getting updated so no point using that.
On the subject of how they both compare, mine were the same within 1 or 2, USGA higher. More interestingly my USGA Thailand handicap is higher than my...
I've got a USGA handicap and I'm exploring whether i can play in a UK CONGU open competition. Apparently there is a conversion calculation. Anyone know what it is? It doesn't come up in a Google search
I do find it strange though that there is not even one in any of the clubs I've been members of. Although my current club there are a high number of lesbians.
Although all the posters seem open minded, golfers are often very traditional based on my experience so I'm not sure how they would...
I see this week that Colin Jackson has finally come out the closet. Golf is a funny sport where i haven't met one gay guy in 30 years. Either they don't like golf or are leading a double life.
Would be a shame if guys had to hide it. I feel sorry for the wife who is unaware of the situation.
So my ball is plugged just on the top of the greenside bunker but not in. When i drop the ball close to where its plugged it rolls back into the bunker, is that now in play?
