Playing on two cards in 4bbb

This is not correct for what we do. It would be a&b have their card, then c can make a 2nd card with a or b. So a or b would be the one one ‘two cards’. The teams are decided before play (supposed to be anyway, we have to have cash sign in for these comps so they could potentially choose the...

Competition sign in and score entry changes

Clubv1 These are the release notes but no reference to whs. there would be no reason to remove this though. We have removed the option in ClubV1 > Settings > HowDidiDo Settings to 'Allow players to skip marker selection' as a Marker must now be selected when entering a score via HowDidiDo...

Competition sign in and score entry changes

It’s an enforced option by the software. I’ve never seen it referenced in whs manual but that’s the reason for it. It’s been poorly implemented and has caused a decent reduction in people entering their scores, more frustration for golfers and more work for committees.

Playing on two cards in 4bbb

Yeah but you would have little chance unless you could play off 100% so no one would bother and they get upset if they can’t play. Not sure if the software would allow for that. We checked with the county who were not much help and just said they’ve never heard of it done before and no...

    Hot Golf UK?

Definitely legit, had a couple of bargains and delivered next day dpd. I did have one order that was out of stock and said could offer alternative or offer refund straight away. I asked for refund and it didn’t come but I chased it few weeks later and were very apologetic and sorted it.

Playing on two cards in 4bbb

Is that the full competition? Isn’t the purpose of this change to stop people only winning non handicap acceptable comps and not getting cut? So provided the course is set up correctly then acceptable comps should always be played.

Playing on two cards in 4bbb

Yes but they pay 2 entry fees. Typically the 3 ball will share all monies between them.

Playing on two cards in 4bbb

My club has always offered the opportunity in fourball comps if a four all can’t be formed then 1 person in a three ball can play on 2 cards. I’ve always thought this was a bit weird and possibly against the spirit of the rules but acknowledged that it’s a good way to allow them to still play...

Why are individual opens not very popular in England?

    Not for hackers though.

Why are individual opens not very popular in England?

I'm in the North East and it seems like no clubs around here do individual opens and any that try them don't seem to get many numbers so they get cancelled. Looking around elsewhere in England they don't seem that popular either despite the number of courses but all offer 4BBB. But in...

It looks like the WHS link between England and Scotland is working now

Noticed a couple of members have had scores from Scotland posted to their handicap record in England yesterday under the name 'ocs-global-production'. Not heard of this software but it looks like passing through a middleman rather than a direct talk between each country. It's only taken about...

Tee Times hack? Anyone got a hack/code? We use IG

I'm glad my club isn't too busy and I don't play in prime tee times as i'd hate to be doing this booking race. But I know that BRS has very easy to do techniques that will make you quicker than others and you don't need a 'bot'. Is it cheating? No it isn't, but smarter people get ahead in life...
