Why is the comp sec signing people in? Surely players should do this themselves?
We have a strict rule that players are penalised if they don't sign in or are late signing in before the comp.
The 9 hole calculation in HM seems to be
Course Handicap = (Handicap Index ÷ 2) x (9-hole Slope Rating ÷ 113) + (9-hole Course Rating – 9-hole par)
Am I right in thinking that the 9 hole calc had already included Cr-Par for some time?
This isn't the case yet for 18 holes.
Players are asking...
I could have by the way played the hole to it conclusion and taken 20 "practice" shots totally legally. I don't think it's a rule breach to play on after you can't score so I can't see how it's a rule breach playing on the way I did.
Maybe it's a penalty for not dropping where I should have...
So am I right in thinking that this line means that playing on (when I already picked up and couldn't score on that hole) is not a rule breach?
"Strokes made by a player in playing out a hole whose result has been decided."
Define result has been decided please, can that mean no stableford...
I played in a Stableford the other day and decided to pick up as I could not score.
After a short walk down the fairway I decided to throw a ball down and play a shot into the green. BTW I don't think I've ever done this before in a comp.
It was just one shot and it was not in anyway slowing...
The course was playable , we came off because of lightning at first (klaxon sounded), before the conditions became unplayable.
I think from what I read and heard here that it counts for HC for all those that completed 10 holes or more.
We need to decide about the comp , options are a) cancel...
I opened a thread in the lounge but my query also has a golf rule aspect to it that I hope you can help with!
I was under the impression under WHS that scores count for handicap as long as 10 or more holes have been completed. So those players that managed to finish with "qualifying" scores...
