I tend to use a new one for a comp. If I lose that one then I try and pull out the ball in best condition to carry on with. Non-comp, anything will do really.
Thanks for the advice, sounds like the X2 Hot would be worth the money. If they're going to be in the bag a while probably worth going for the extra quality!
I've not used golf depot before - reliable and reputable?
On the hunt for some hybrids so took the standard trip into AG for a browse and a hit. Budget isn't huge and they had some Callaway X Series N415 on sale for £70 each as they're old news now. Hit it nicely and in my price range so went home for a research.
Couldn't find many reviews or much...
The scores had been steadily getting better over recent weeks and I finally managed to put it all together and shoot 95 for a net 67 in the monthly medal. It was leading when I left so fingers crossed it stays that way.
Looking forward to getting a cut and shifting the 28 handicap!
I've been having lessons too and they've helped a lot. I think part of the problem was I was at university when I picked up the game so I've never had the chance to play regularly. Now I can play most weekends I'm definitely seeing a difference and I'm dropping shots off my scores, and hopefully...
Cheers for all that, I think I'm leaning to maybe getting a hybrid and a wedge or two. Looking at the slightly older models is a good shout as well to maximise value for money and all that!
I reckon replacing my irons may be pushed to the side for now. Might as well fill out either side of...
So I've been using the same clubs I started with when I picked up golf a few years ago and I feel it's time for a change. I have some cash earmarked for some new clubs but I'm in a bit of a dilemma where to start. FYI I'm off 28, normally score on average between 99 and 105.
So let me give you...
I play off 28 myself and I've only just started playing to my handicap. It's no coincidence it's come after FINALLY being able to play regularly. Like a lot of the other posts a lot, I normally end up with around three or four pars a round but throw shots away elsewhere.
I've been looking at my...
As always happens periodically, I've caught the reading bug again. I read Hank Haney's book a while back and really enjoyed it but haven't delved much into the world of golf reading.
Has anyone got any good suggestions? Thinking less instruction and more good reads!
His iron play is excellent, Sky had the pro tracer out on the range this morning and the kid was striping them every single time. I know you expect that from a tour pro but his swing was just so effortless.
He's not short off the tee either, outdriving Molinari's driver with his 3-wood!
