As always happens periodically, I've caught the reading bug again. I read Hank Haney's book a while back and really enjoyed it but haven't delved much into the world of golf reading.

Has anyone got any good suggestions? Thinking less instruction and more good reads!

usual things like paper tiger and Bring me the head of sergio garcia are both Ok

Harvey Pennicks little red book.

John Daly- my life in and out of the rough.

Darren Clarks book was an easy read, not a lot of depth but easy going.

I also read Ian poulters book and I now hate him very very very much.

I've really got into John Feinstein's books, so A Good Walk Spoiled and The Majors are particularly good reads. Moment of Glory is not bad either.

Also enjoyed a book called The Scorecard Always Lies by Chris Lewis which was a behind the scenes look at the 2006 PGA Tour.

American caddie at St Andrews is brilliant, as it Four iron in the soul. Read them both, guarantee you will not be disappointed.

'The Greatest game ever played' is a good read, but if you want a rollocking good golf romp, check out 'The Amateurs' by John Niven, best golf novel ever!

Dream on is a good read and I'm enjoying 'Bring me the head of Sergio Garcia' at the moment. Seve's autobiography is good but the text is tiny and it seems like I've been reading it for ages and not made a dent in it.

One to avoid 'Changing course', it says it's about someone who was a successful CEO, but had a stroke and took up caddying. I thought it was going to be a read about his exploits while caddying, but no, it's more a self help book on how you, yes you, can change your life, complete drivel.

Avoid "The Unstoppable Golfer" by Bob Rotella - received as a Christmas gift- I can't put into writing how terrible I found this book.

Agree 100% on this one. As the book follows a group of players through the 1994 season you might not have heard of them all (there is ONE mention of Tiger Woods - an up and coming amateur :) ) - but by the end of the book you'll feel you know them all pretty well. And you'll have found yourself really rooting for them as yet again they tee off on the first round of the most important comp of their season/life. I thought it a great read for the golfer.
