    Bad moods in meddles

Re: Bad moods in medals I just snigger when the club thrower has to bend down to pick it up! You only wind yourself up and make it worse - golf is all about relaxed shoulders and a focused mind!

    Easy Access for Bandits

I'll be honest, i really don't worry about beating my partners etc - im normally locked in a battle with myself to either be consistant or better my last score. The lower the better for me.

    Why?

I just picked up my dads clubs as a kid but really took an interest when injury finished my footballing days 18 months ago.

    Left Handed Players - Neglected?

It was the shop, not one tool in there.

    Left Handed Players - Neglected?

:D I ended up trying some Ping G10's and ordered a set from direct golf - never looked back.

    Easy Access for Bandits

CONGU or nothing at my club, and our handicaps are true as can be - mate of mine gave three cards in, 99, 102, 106 on a par 70 course, the result? 24!!

    Left Handed Players - Neglected?

A couple of months back i was looking for a new set of Irons, i didn't want to buy online as a believe you really need to try before you buy (or at least try at the shop and buy online...). I went to American Golf, two left hand sets - nothing i liked, so thought i know where will surely have...

Funniest thing you have seen on a golf course?

Brilliant, i've never undertood why people use sky caddies and all that to be honest - i'd sooner buy lessons off a pro and improve my game, the yardage plan on the back of the card is enough for me. Funniest thing i have ever seen is my mate try to absoloutly knock the skin off the ball with...

Feeling at home in a new club...

I think it's somthing that is gradually being kicked out - financial constraints mean clubs have to either be more welcoming or die. I'm very happy at my current club and 99.9% of the membership are lovely people. For example, i was drawn in a fourball comp alongside a 2 handicapper - now this...

Feeling at home in a new club...

Thank you for the welcome! It certainly is, it's also nice to be able to have a drink somewhere with standards - nice to have a beer somewhere that isn't full of drunken, foul mouthed idiots. The banter is all there but people also respect each other.

    Course improvements, your call

Install stocks in the car park for people who don't replace divots to be pelted with rotting veg - those who drop any sort of litter in the rough that can look like a ball when you are searching can also be put in them!!

Feeling at home in a new club...

First post on here, i hope to be coming on here regularly! Has anyone else found that with all that is going on regarding finances courses can no longer afford to have snobby members who treat the places like their own pesonal social club where only clique members are welcome? I think every...
