A couple of months back i was looking for a new set of Irons, i didn't want to buy online as a believe you really need to try before you buy (or at least try at the shop and buy online...).

I went to American Golf, two left hand sets - nothing i liked, so thought i know where will surely have loads, The Belfry....i got there, not one left handed club in the place - when i asked the assistant i was informed that "back in the day" lefties were either converted to use right hand clubs or "taken outside and shot".

Suffice to say i'll never be buying as much as a tee peg from that overhyped dump again!

Is a demo 6 iron of each set available too much to ask?

I know the feeling :( :(

Got a nice set of Yonex Cyberstar C280 Uniflex steel shafts for sale if you are interested. 2 years old and sweet spots never used :)

Isn't there a left handed golf shop somewhere down south?

One shop nationally is more than enough, surely?

:D

I play the guitar and have this problem. The choice is quite shocking.

Luckily, I play golf right handed, so don't have a problem when it comes to choosing golf clubs!

we almost had two left handed major winners this year as well

I guess its just supply and demand there must not be enough lefties going to get custom fit at the belfry

Was it the shop or golf academy that you went to at the Belfry?

Not surprising that lefties don't go there if they are not catered for.

At least our Pro does have some demo l/h 6 irons. Some TM, Callaway, but mostly Pings but I'm not ready for the dark side yet.

Haha...

I will agree with Smiffy. Ping make some of the best clubs ever. It's just that I already have a G10 driver otherwise I would make an offer on his.

Yeah Im left handed and 1" longer. Pisses me off that I cant just go in and buy a club I like. Have to order it and wait a friggin week :(

U imagine a woman doing that for shoes! LOL

Another leftie here. Brought my first set some 20 years ago in the states Ping Zing 2. (still in garage)

Ping suited my game, so made an appointment at Ping Gainsborough for a fitting, and surprise surprise they had loads of lefties to try. Brought G10's and haven't looked back.

Best investment ever !!! :)
