We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
Has anyone used both the i10 and I series e1 irons? I'm still not looking to buy new irons, but i'm still looking for a little more forgiveness than the i10's without going up to the G series irons
Are the e1's more forgiving and maybe slightly bigger? I seem to remember the i10's being some...
Another thing I meant to ask which has been bothering me for YEARS
Is there an industry standard for measuring for shaft length in a fitting? (Eg, do all companies use the wrist to floor)
Reason I ask is when I was fitted by Ping it was for 1/2" longer, and with Titleist it was 1" longer
I...
Thanks all, taken all on board and had another range session and was much the same as yesterday so can't complain really!
I've got a local municipal pay and play course, May have to get out and play 9 holes this week. I was always useless off range mats and always played better off a fairway...
Hi all
I'm returning to the game after about 4 years away. Long story short I was working a lot of weekends and wasn't getting benefit of my membership and I ended up drifting away
Picked the game back up recently and the bug for it is just as big as it was the first time round. Got custom...
Thanks for the reply Dave :)
I guess im lucky, in that it has a dual shoulder "Aero strap".
My clubs themselves arent heavy, and the bag is as light as a feather!
Hi everyone, was wondering if you could give me some general info on carrying clubs...and wether or not i should brace myself!
I've always used a trolley before, and last weekend (having bought a brand new battery, and using it for weeks with a broken top hinge..essentially the handle was like...
No idea how much fitting is, i've heard that American Golf don't charge if you buy the clubs but not sure if its the same everwhere.
I'm lucky that i live close to a large independent golf superstore who are registered fitters for Ping, Cobra and Mizuno so i may go and spend the day there and...
Hi all, i was wondering if you could give me some advice on irons for high handicappers?
Im currently playing with Ping G2's (bought from eBay for around £150...no idea wether they are legit or not) and the feel a little dead, every on perfect shots.
Should be getting a little bit of cash...
Hi everyone, some of you may remember my post a few days ago about playing in comps and i said i may give 9 hole club night ago to ease me in....well im in!
Played my first club night this evening. Was REALLY nervous on the first tee but it was all a worry about nothing, had a really enjoyable...
No postage stamp at my club im afraid.
We do however, also have an "Amen Corner". Its a dogleg right, that runs right along the length of the county Crematorium!
My club has a nine hole "fun" comp as they call it, every wednesday evening. I joined yesterday evening and there was a fair few turned out to play while i was in sorting the membership out. I dont know if it is age restricted as i overheard a guy in his 60s saying that he wasn't going to play...
The one on mine at least is simple. Rather than a round hole for the bolt, the hole is about as long as 3 or 4 bolt widths.
As mine was tightened at the rear of the hole, pulling the wheel left, i simply loosened the bolt, moved it toward the centre of the hole and re-tightened it :)
Yea, im looking forward to getting stuck in and getting into the spirit of the club :)
At least my club has a high handicap section (like i expect most do!) it will be less embarassing as i'll be playing with players of roughly the same ability :)
I have a feeling they may not take too kindly...
Hi everyone, im 23 and just joined my local club after having stopped playing around 8 years ago.
I've never played in a comp before and im really looking forward to start playing. Since ive started playing again i've only been playing with my older brother (whos new to the game and who has...
Just a quick update on my previous post, the battery came today and size wise its exactly the same as the old one, the only difference being that when it is in the correct position for the battery bag, the contacts are on the side, rather than the top.
Going to take it out for a spin...
