Another Hoebridge member here. I think you’ve nailed the pros and cons quite nicely.
I’m fortunate that I can get out during the week to play at quieter times but it does drive me crazy at the slow pace of play and societies allowed on during weekend mornings.
still though it’s a great...
I'm sure I brought food the last time out at Wentworth but these things could change I suppose ...
Based on my experience at the open, the par 3's will be good to watch - the 4th particularly. Also would be interesting to see them drive from the 10th. One notable feature of the old course is...
They must have done something to improve it then as it was awful on the Friday - and those times were almost exactly when we left! Got on buses absolutely fine at both ends but we were immediately stuck in a jam when we got into Sandwich.
I thought it was a great experience with one exception ... the park and ride was woeful - which to be fair is all down to the roads of Sandwich and not really in their control but still a long wait in and out to get a relatively short distance.

However I think it is slightly more nuanced in that they will be allowed a...
I played a trial round yesterday afternoon. The weather was brutally hot after a fairly cool start. Overall I enjoyed the course with a few thoughts:
Course knowledge is essential - the outcome of so many holes being with water and hidden streams / ponds means you have to be very precise...
I've been checking my mail frequently for a ticket update - my thinking is that they're waiting for an update from the government on what they can do but given the relatively short time frame I hope they get their skates on!
Yup also had my irons and driver fitted at Silvermere ... The best recommendation I have heard is to try and split it over a couple of visits if possible as your swing might be different / conditions different and that can impact you
