Long story short, I've managed to be picked as a +1 for a trip around Scotland to play 5 (maybe 6) of the biggest courses in the country.
Ailsa, Royal Troon, Gleneagles, Carnoustie, Kingsbarn and ballot for the Old Course.
The idea was to enter each score for my handicap, however first course...
I enjoyed a putter fitting at Tour X in Wigan (not local, I understand).
they offer the Odyssey range, and all in all I was a little underwhelmed with it. They only worked on the way the ball rolled and adjusted the lie angle if necessary.

I've recently brought a Bushnell V4.
It is intended for the flag, but I've used it to 'zap' bunkers, trees etc with good success. However it can only 'zap' something it can see. If the start of the bunker is hidden you wont be able to 'zap' it.

I play with a towel on my bag and used to have a toothbrush that I could to clean the grooves during the round.

For me, and when playing on a Saturday it has done nothing but slow the round down, to much hokey kokey of the flag in then out and so on. I'm 100% flag out as I can't putt with it in, hole lots alot smaller to me. But I've seen chaps want the flag in for a 3 footer when everyone else has had...
