Out of interest, where does this sit with someone who puts nearly all their cards in but only really focuses for the comps?
Are they a bandit or just playing the system how is it supposed to be used?
how do you then judge what cards should go in.

my current is handicap changing but on soft cap
But the soft cap is based against the period where my handicap did not change for eight rounds. Due to lockdown I have to wait till April next year for the soft cap point to move.
seems odd how I can have such a long period with no change...
Noticed a funny one for me, I have hit the soft cap for some odd reason WHS has my handicap as 10.5 for eight rounds (over 14 months due to lockdowns)
with my current handicap 14.2 I cannot clear the soft cap until April 2022.

However the rule the person who did strike the ball cited was that there was no intention to play a shot therefore it did not count as a penalty as the impact was accidental. So no stroke was played. I am unaware of the rule number but...

This was exactly how I believed it but was advised it had changed within the new rules. The point being it was not a stroke as there was no intent to strike the ball as a practice swing.
Therefore play as it lies no penalty
so how it went was the ball was played from where it came to rest, as I was advised this was correct and if the ball had been moved it would be a penalty.
Guess I am wrong but I thought it would be replay with a one stroke penalty
