I qualify as a senior this year....... that makes me officially old........ although according to my lad I'll never have to repair a pitch mark, rake a bunker or congratulate a junior again..
My 7i shaft got bent so i had a replacement from titleist and instead of fitting it with a grey MCC plus 4 they fitted it with a red one.
so as the grey grips were 18 month old I bought some of the Golf Pride MCC plus 4 in red to match the 7i . i think i paid £30 for 12 , they've been on since...
My son had a stealth driver and the face popped out within the warrenty period, contacted TM and they sorted it out straight away and even sent the stealth 2 as his replacement.
TM are fantastic if its within warranty but as the OP has found out once its out of warranty they dont want to know...
I honestly think i get excellent service with or without tipping, and i really enjoy chatting to the staff, we even ended up going out with them the one night. im happy to show my appreciation with a cash tip and i think the service level does go up a notch
I've been lucky enough to go to belek golfing a few times and give the bus driver a £5, the bell hops a £5, cleaners a £10 at the begining of the trip and a £10 at the end , then would give teh barman and waiting staff 100 lira each night.

We have a sliding scale on age groups. Now i have skin in the game as my lad has just turned 18 so he's going to benefit from this greatly (well i am as im the one that pays his subs)
If it were up...

we have the rubber crumb bunkers at our course (clay based) they are good as long as the sand is racked regularly otherwise all of the sand gets taken out of the heavily used areas and your club bounces off the rubber crumb enabling a 100 yard bunker shot out of a greenside bunker , trust me...
i had adidas 360's years ago (ryder cup edition with the europe logo) but the heel was a nightmare on them, first it hurt and then they disintegrated, so i gave up and stuck with nike and footjoy which are both pretty comfy
then my lad outgrew his adidas code chaos so i borrowed them and will be...
Thank you for the advice, we were going to do the solheim cup again next year but its location isn't the best so I'll sack that off and head up to to Scotlandand give it a whirl. Playing the old course has really got under my skin and i really want to do it!!
we had our first proper outing with mats (compulsory at our club starting 1st Nov) for the start of our winter league. 20+ pairs and the overwhelming majority of conversations in the bar afterwards was positive. Our course is clay based and gets very wet and muddy in the winter (last year was a...
