Both my home courses operate with a slope-system that calculates the amount of shots you get off your handicap. If you tee it forward you get less shots and vice versa. It works quite well over here as playing from the front tees has become a regular comp for the monthly medal.

Was quite unnerving to have people suddenly appear behind mounds.
My PP hooked a few into the crowds, made a least a few of the walkers more observant.
Had this happen to me. Had a great season where I practiced and played a lot and was rewarded for it having my HCP cut from 16.9 to 10.7.
But, during the post-season review my club cut my HCP down to 8.7.
Next season I barely had a round in the buffer zone and ended up with 15 +0.1s. Fantastic.
Had my first one this year trying out a new course with a mate.
115 yard par 3. Punched a PW. It landed a foot from the hole, horse-shoed, stopped on the lip. And then dropped.
It was awesome.
In response to the haggis, I would treat the guests to some Norwegian specialties:
Starter: Rakfisk - fermented trout with raw red onion, dill and sour cream.
Main: Smalahove - charred and boiled sheepshead with mash.
Dessert: Fresh strawberries with milk and sugar.
From what I could tell, it's quite the short course, but many approaches and teeshots are blind. Looks like the driver will stay in the bag quite a bit?
Hopefully the greens will be better when we play it.
