One thing to keep in mind if you're buying, at this time of the year a lot of courses (at least the ones with sense) ban electric trolleys, and will only allow push / pull trolleys, some even demand they're fitted with hedgehogs.
Can you explain why there was a penalty stroke for grounding his club? He wasn't in a bunker and unless there is a local rule to say thet the beach is counted as a hazard I can't see the difference between being on the beach and being on an adjacent fairway.
I had the same problem. Is the stand activated by a 'flap' or a 'leg'? My bag had a leg so I bought a powakaddy twinline 3, which had a tubular support at the bottom, and the leg of the bag fits into the gap while the bottom of the bag is still supported.
Played Mollington, a tough course. There have been problems this year with the quality of the greens and drainage, greens have recovered now though. They have lost a few members due to too many societies at the weekends though. I play with 2 members who always seem to find something to complain...
