I don't believe in talent. People reach the top of their fields due to the dedication and time they put in to get there.

But that's why Donald won and is currently better than Westwood. Donald can control spin, as well as pitch the ball on a ten pence piece. Westwood got both of these things wrong, which is why he lost. Professional golf is supposed to be tough - it separates the best from the very good.

I much prefer the BBC. The lack of advert breaks is refreshing, and "Ken on the Course" offers a good insight into the Wentworth course. I would rather listen to Peter Alliss and his quirkiness than the boring Sky commentators.

Strokeplay I always go out onto the course with the aim of a personal best - so every shot counts. None of this picking up if you can't score in a stableford nonsense! ;)

Driving 1/10 Irons 7/10 Short game 6/10 Putting 8/10 Driving is awful, iron play is consistently solid. Short game is decent but I will continue to work hard to improve it. Putting is the best part of my game as I hole out well from 6 feet and in.

I have the Fang and feel much more confident on putts within six feet. It's much easier to make a committed stroke when you are sure you are properly aligned! My lag putting has improved a lot too.

My pro, who went to college in the US, said their golf coach wouldn't let them leave the putting green until they had holed 50 consecutive 4 footers. Apparently some people were there all night!

I think it's unfair on Luke Donald to say he's only interested in money, since it was Lee Westwood that received a large appearance fee for just playing in Indonesia.

Great to see two Englishmen ranked in the top three. Lee Westwood has been the most consistent player over the last two years, although Luke Donald is showing the best streak of form of anyone in world golf at the moment.
