    The Footie Thread

This is a very good angle. It shows he doesn't come though Isak. Its an honest last ditch attempt to block the shot. One he has to make. Isak gets the shot off and his follow through hes caught inbetween the defenders leg. Its a tangle and the both hit the deck. He doesn't scissor him but his...

GPS vs. Laser Rangefinders What Do You Actually Use on the Course?

I have a mate who's currently off 11.9 Uses a watch only. Fairly regular occurrence is he says, 110 to the middle. I laser it at 92. He doesn't feel the slight wind behind and sends the ball deep into the green. 3 putts again. Has never broken 80 in a comp. Fine margins. Do I think he would...

GPS vs. Laser Rangefinders What Do You Actually Use on the Course?

The difference is completely insignificant as all players then have to decide how they are going to play the shot. Factor in all the elements other than just the raw yardage. Then every player has their unique things they do before they hit the shot. Some take ages and others are quick but...

GPS vs. Laser Rangefinders What Do You Actually Use on the Course?

Voted the wrong thing. Nice one 👍 I've used pretty much all the options down the years. Watch, phone, handheld unit and laser. I like the laser as you are also scanning the hole visually while taking a couple of yardages. Nothing is really quicker or better. All shots require a certain...

GPS vs. Laser Rangefinders What Do You Actually Use on the Course?

Always the laser for me. Changed from a GPS years ago and couldn't live without it now. Upgrading the trolly this year after nearly 10 years service. I'll likely have a GPS on the new one. Front and back yardages will be handy if they are right there when im grabbing a club.

    Waterproof jacket and trousers recommendations

I was never really one to enjoy the full wet suit experience when playing golf. Settled on the waterproof gilet from Nike. Keeps the arms free to swing. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305900887957?chn=ps&_ul=GB&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&google_free_listing_action=view_item I have the black and olive...

    Newbie feeling completely lost

18 lessons and no mention of trying other clubs, chipping or putting is, and im putting this mildly, wild. Grab a half set of clubs and head out to your nearest 9 hole or par 3 course. Bring a friend who plays if possible. Let faster players through and take your time. Just enjoy yourself...

    Losing weight/fitness thread

The runners seem the most dedicated and post a lot recently. Last 3 pages nearly exclusively running times. Which is fair enough. Its not really going to inspire joe blogs to shift a few Llbs. It was just a thought like. The runners could get as deep into the subject as you want.
