    do you lose handicap ?

Thanks that's what I thought but couldn't find confirmation anywhere. I've reported but they don't seem to be the best, still showing as a member of my old club despite asking for it to be updated.

    do you lose handicap ?

Do scores drop off handicap record under WHS? Since Scottish golf transferred system I've lost scores and only have 9 on record. Not too fussed as I haven't played much post the 2020 season, so handicap is inaccurate anyway.

    Skillest

Have used this for a few years now and really enjoy it. Have tried a few coaches and it can be a bit hot and miss, I usually try looking them up on Instagram first. A lot of coaches put snippets of lessons on there so you can get an idea of what they are like. The swing analysis for a quid is...

Scottish Golf WHS migration to DotGolf

I quite like the simplicity of the new app. Just need to get my home course and handicap sorted so it's accurate before the season starts.

Scottish Golf WHS migration to DotGolf

My handicap has gone up from 17.4 to 20.5, only 9 scores appear to have moved over from old system. I'm also still registered at my old club despite leaving there in march and joining my new club in July.

    Pencil / scratch bag?

I've got a pro tekt one, bought for £30 on ebay just to have an alternative to the stand bag. You can easily fit in 14 clubs but is a bit of an annoying getting them in and out. So just have a half set in and can add an extra wedge or not depending on where I'm playing I'm not playing much the...

    Golfers Journal

It's a quarterly offering, not a monthly so would be only £80 over the year not £240. There not for everyone but I think they fill a void in the market, that the standard golf magazine don't delve into much and certainly not the depth that these quarterlys do.

    Golfers Journal

It's more stories about golf but not your mainstream stories. If your looking for something different it's worth it, and at £10.50 an issue it's not too badly priced. Their quarterly so I think it's a good deal, plus I'd keep them to reread later on.

    Golfers Journal

Haven't read it but tempted to start getting them myself. I get the links diary which is similar. You can get it from here https://www.doubleplateaugc.com/the-golfers-journal based in the UK free shipping.

    Coach in east lothian

I used Martyn Huish at North Berwick West links for a number of years. Great coach, explains things well and seems to have a wide range of knowledge. Fair price for lessons and the practice area down there is lovely too.

The First Year of WHS - Positives and Negatives

I guess it would all depend on his last 20 counting scores really. It would also depend on how well he plays in said open. No guarantees he's going to play well so it could all be for nought. I get what people say about being called bandits but on the other side, why is it bad that someone like...

150th Open @ St Andrews ballot

Don't want to burst any bubbles but my surname starts with G and I was in the first lot offered tickets.

The First Year of WHS - Positives and Negatives

I only rejoined a club in late June and don't know anyone at the club, so I only managed 6 comp rounds and one casual round under the new system. But I did like how it worked, I think it's a truer reflection of where your golf will be if you play enough. If I was at a club where I had a regular...

    I bought today.....

A bridgestone 6 iron. Plan to make the training club Pete Cowen uses with players with the putter grip on for a feeling of the face through the swing. Got it for a bargain price of £20 and already have a putter grip I can put on.
