Thanks everyone who replied to my previous message re DQ There was nothing in the club rules and it was rescinded. and one of the guys who joined up to make the fourball shot 75 gross net 65 and won the competition !!!

Apologies for the terminology Yes the club plays medals as three balls What is your opinion of the the two balls that joined together to make a four ball being disqualified ?

If a club plays medals with only three players. in this particular instance two players are behind the three ball with another 2 behind them. Play is obviously slow so the two behind the three ball invite the other two to join them as a fourball. Could they be disqualified as a result?
