It certainly does feel like the vast majority of courses with a ranking in any of the credible lists talked about on here, certainly charge a premium for such! Which top 50 course are you playing dare I ask? You’re not Gareth Bale are you? :sneaky: :D

I‘d read one of them (possibly GM) was a case of anyone can vote, whereas Golf World is a ‘panel of experts’- will try and locate the GM article to which you refer, sounds interesting!

I’ll watch out for midweek deals at Princes, though slightly concerned given it’s around the May bank hol it’ll be a popular time! They do have a great winter stay and play deal, just a shame that ends in March.

Marbella Old Town, or Estepona would fit the brief in that regard. Enjoyed both, with a great choice of bars and restaurants. Puerto Banus is good fun, but, definitely more lively and considerably more expensive than the other 2.

Lindrick would have to be the pick for me. Played on a summer‘s afternoon and had the course practically to ourselves, an almost surreal experience. Enjoyed the Ryder Cup displays / room in the clubhouse and they’d made a real effort for the Jubilee, which was a nice touch. Honourable mentions...
