For me it's narrow feet and heels so something that secures just below the ankle is what seems to be working for me, I done the same with the boas over tightened but still slips out,

Did you get the same size as your shoe, might try them, i have used similar in the past but they didn't lock my feet in, having narrow heels I think I need something around the top of the shoe to stop my feet moving even heel grips didn't work for me
