Tired of being rubbish...how do I improve?

I don’t have much to add that others haven’t. For me the biggest difference was 1) Finding a coach that you’re receptive too. I have had a few lessons and was t getting anywhere, then I switched and found one that I got on with and suggested different ways for me to learn. Sometimes some pros...

Do you play rounds without a driver?

I despise my driver, not the club itself but more the way that I hit it. Being a mid handicapper I find taking irons off the tee helps so much I’m terms of accuracy. The way I try to think about it is with the holes I get shots on, I’m there for net 0. The other plus size is I don’t lose...

Best service you've ever had at a Golf Club in the UK?

Wow, that trumps my experience. Not sure who you have to know to play Queenwood but imagine it's someone pretty famous!

Best service you've ever had at a Golf Club in the UK?

Fair point! I do feel it’s more than just a round of golf there, not something I’ve experienced before

Best service you've ever had at a Golf Club in the UK?

I had the pleasure to play at the Grove in Hertfordshire recently and I think it was the best service I have ever experienced at a golf course, they made you feel like a celebrity. They had huge amounts of staff that were catering to your every need. Whether it would be their overall demeanour...

    Thoughts on GolfBreaks/YourGolfTravel?

Hi all, Thinking about booking a golf break in Scotland with a few mates, YGT and GolfBreaks came up as two of the largest providers. What are people’s experience with using these? Is it better to book direct or can they really get cheaper rates? It’s a lot of money to spend so wanted to do my...

Can anyone recommend any good golf societies (South East based but can travel)?

Appreciate the comments here - will take a look at those links. When I looked on IGC London some courses were similar prices to the guest green fees but had food included, others were slightly more!

Can anyone recommend any good golf societies (South East based but can travel)?

Hi All, I currently am a member of a club in Berkshire and am enjoying playing. However I'm trying to venture out a bit and play some other nice courses in GB&I. One of my friends told me about IGC London and how they got to play some incredible courses at reasonable prices (when you include...

Found a way to do it, interested to know if people still use that. Very keen to get around other courses either nearby of further afield. Happy to return the favour to others with guest fees!
