Stevie,
put me in for the entire shooting gallery.
unless our Jimmy Bruen team gets places I will be good.
good courses looking forward to good old summer parkland.
Farnham is a lovely golf course, really well maintained and always in excellent nick.
I am happy to do any deal. Slieve Russell is also well regarded.
I do like Portmarknock links, its a cracking round of golf and nice hotel and that price to include the island is not bad at all.
remember you...
Bill,
I have played druids heath and its a fine golf course. So it would be a fine option. Play Druids courses on Friday and Saturday and then play the European on the Sunday for €60 if they have an open on.
Dodger, Baltray while older is not a lot better than Seapoint, it is a fine golf...
see how you get on, I will be able to do something no problem in seapoint. I would suggest you stay Friday night in Baltray, play Baltray and then book into Portmarknock saturday night. cracking nightlife around thier, with lovely expensive beer.
Gentlemen,
Baltray do a good deal when you stay over, and you can get out on a Saturday. Staying on-site is a €10 taxi from Drogheda, food is good as is the beer, The only problem is Sunday is members only in both Seapoint and Baltray.
Portmarknock Links is a great course, really underrated...
Portmarknock links hotel is a fantastic course, they will do a deal with staying the them and the island.
arklow is also a great course and another lovely old course is woodenbridge.
Killeen castle is a far better course than any of the carton house courses.
The island and european are class.
Hi Stevie,
Dundalk is a cracking track, as for St Margarets it is ok but not up to condition of years ago. I would play Portmarknock
if your free about Dublin give me a shout.
The pro in Dundalk is a friend of mine and is a top guy, the food is good as well
enjoy
Great weekend, thanks again Brendy.
Always good to catch up and enjoy 2 great golf courses. No sick head or running to the 1st on Sunday so that was nice. but Sundays golf (ouch)
If you want to play 2 class golf courses at a very good green fee rate Ballyliffin is your best option.
Brendy...
Turnberry Ailsa is fantastic. I was fortunate enough to play it in late May. I prefer to St Andrews, everything about the place is fantastic and the £99.00 green fee is great value for an open course,.
I advise everyone to play it.
Chris,
I might just take you up on that one. have to see about booking friday off,
what time are you thinking off teeing off at
sunshine, links golf and beers with a good crowd. Brewing up to be a classic
I had a practice event in Killarney yesterday, Played Mahoneys point, nice course, then had a late one, Glad to confirm that the drinking game is in good shape,
Golf game is ?
see you all in 2 weeks.
The Rusty Nail was a great call. Pity no one told them to close.
Getting close now, I will be missing our captains, but Ballyliffin will be better crack and golf.
Looking forward to catching up, drinking a few ales and some good quality banter.
Dont worry about your game the venue and the beauty and the challenge of the course will bring out the best in you.
I was fortunate enough to play it last month and we all want to go back next year.
enjoy this fantastic course. I doubt any other course will make me feel as happy playing golf...
