We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
Would love to be able to buy a set of Galvins but he's getting other stuff as well so £400 -£500 is a bit much.
After reading other posters comments i'm going to have a look into the Proquip and Footjoy ranges
Bob-- We both have Proquip at the moment and they are fantastic suits but what concerns me is that they dont seem to be as expensive as they once were, therefore, are they still as high quality?
I'll give the search function a go and see what comes up.
Cheers
I'm looking to buy my old man a new waterproof suit for his birthday and was hoping for some advice on which are good quality suits, i was going to get him a set of Galvin Greens but couldn't believe how expensive they were.
I am looking to spend in the region of £250
Any advice would be...
Any of the folks on here from the Midlothian area played this course ? I'm asking as i play the 1st round of the Dailly Telegraph Matchplay (scottish final) there on Sunday ,any advice or comments about the course would be greatly appreciated.
Just wanting to hear if anyone else on hear has played in it ? On Friday i played in and won my section final , which takes me a 36 hole (home & away)national final away from going to Valle De Lobo for 5 days :D :D
I would also like to say that i've played a couple of cracking courses and met...
After thinking it over for the last couple of days i reckon i'm almost there with my decision , i think the sureshot would probably be the best option for me as it has all the functions and features that im looking for.Don't get me wrong i'm sure that the other 2 units are fantstic pieces of kit...
The recording of stats was what held the appeal of the Sureshot as you can upload the information onto you're computer after you play and use it as a game analysis , is this possible to do with the Sonnocaddie ?
P.S i've just put in a request to Sonnocaddie to have my course mapped so...
Sorry , my bad , that was the Golf Buddy website i was thinking about :o if i remember correctly the sonnocaddie only has the scorecard info for my course , but the same question applies , how easy is it for them to put my course on ?
For me , the only downside that i can see with the sonnocaddie is that my home course is not on the course list , is it easy to get them to put the course on or does it take months ?
I dont think i would go for the laser option as they are no goood on blind holes.
The thing that was putting me off the skycaddie was:
1.They must be due an upgraded model as the sg5 has been out for a while.
2.I have heard that the unit is disabled if you don't pay the following years...
In the not too distant future i'm going to be buying one of these bad-boys and i'm looking for some advice on the pro's and cons on the ones that i have on my shortlist , which are :
Skycadie SG5
Sureshot 8850
Sonnocaddie V300
Any info that you guys could give me would be most helpful
