    People say this but can't actually come up with any examples. It's a cop out to suit their argument. I've played golf for a very long time, never heard of anyone say they won't take up golf because of a dress code.

    Why not? It is every members' responsibility to uphold the club rules. Unless of course you are referring to being a visitor at said course.

    No I wouldn't join a club without a dress code. If I want to drink with people wearing caps I'll go to the local pub.
