    Things That Gladden The Heart

An injury time penalty save winning me £500 in a last man standing competition

    The EFL Thread

Not easy to say this as a Cardiff fan but Swansea generally have a good track record with managers so you've likely got a decent appointment if you've turned his head away from them. Somewhat funny seeing the reaction to this down west though. Lots of "well we didn't really want him anwyay"...

    I bought today.....

A TM Stealth 2 3WHL. This will hopefully replace two clubs in my bag with one replacing a standard 3W and 5W

    Sealskinz waterproof hat

Can't comment on the waterproof aspect but can confirm Keela are a pricey brand. They do some of our work gear and the prices are eye-watering

Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

Didn't feel like a natural pairing to me. Think Cantlay and Xander were there for the taking

Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

Have to be happy with that. I'm sure if we were told the first session would finish 3-1 we would have all likely guessed a US session win. Whilst it's a shame Bob and Viktor couldn't quite finish the match off positively it should mean they are both sitting this afternoon

    Early bird or night owl?

Mine has drifted from one to the other with age. Would be night owl until fairly recently but early bird these days. Seem to have gone from being a heavy sleeper to a light one with age over time too

    Scottish Fitba'

Very poor spectacle with very few chances. I watch most Old Firm games and they are generally good viewing even if the quality is perhaps questionable

    Weddings

I compare those spending big amounts on a wedding to those splashing out on a nice car. Each to their own it's not for everyone. Seems there a fair bit of keeping up appearances related to weddings. First one does x, second one has to go above and beyond etc. Not married myself but know from...

    Course snack

Usually a banana and a Eat Natural Dark chocolate cereal bar. Almost always a drink a bottle or lucozade during the round but sometimes a small water too

    What do you drop?

I've been considering doing something along these lines. 3 wood is very old so been toying with replacing and don't use 5 wood much so the plan is to get a weak lofted 3 wood to cover both as they aren't used much and as has been said above don't need so many clubs at the top end. Would leave...

    Random Irritations

A few of the McDonalds down here have been altered to have a separate entrance for delivery drivers. The car park is a bit of a mess though as there is no room to expand

    Celtic Manor, the 3 courses

Played the Montgomerie a number of times and always enjoyed. There are a few poor holes but a couple of crackers. A few long treks between holes though. The 2010 experience does make you feel a bit special though. Lovely clubhouse etc

    Celtic Manor, the 3 courses

Montgomerie is the more interesting of the 3 for my money. Roman Road is ok but wouldn't go out of my way to play it. 2010 is incredibly boring and a hard old slog for us high handicappers

    LIV Golf

We went yesterday. Organisation was much better than last year especially moving the main park and ride further away from the course. Crowds definitely increased on last year but as previous posters have said aren't huge. Felt the added seats at 17 were a bit pointless as you couldn't see much...
