I had a Commodore 64 as did a mate. One night up at his while waiting for a game to load off tape, we went to make some tea, a knock at the door and a fireman was standing there asking where the fire was. Both of us puzzled had no idea what he was on about, but he said a neighbour had reported a fire and could see flames through the curtains of my mates bedroom. The fireman checked the room to be sure as he has too and was happy there was no fire.
What the neighbour had seen was the turbo loader of the load screen flashing on his tele, we turned out his room lights as we went downstairs and through the curtains, it did kind of look like flames dancing,

Speccy wont be the same without the screech of the tapeloader. Just cant replicate that old school.
