That feels so good. All your left over veg, some mash potato and bread sauce stick it in the frying pan and cook it all up. Add some some cold turkey and cranberry sauce, a bit of ham, cheese and pickle. That is what I love about the days after Christmas, a good old bubble and squeak with cold meat and cheese.

Thats what Christmas is for!

I only wish we had been able to have a Christmas dinner so that we could have had bubble and squeek!

We always end up with more meat than spare veg, soeven after a monster bubble and squeak we still have a ton of gammon and turkey left, which means a pie is about to be made too :)

Aahhh, now we're talking. (Didn't see this yesterday).

It's always my job on Boxing day to deal with the left over Turkey.

First of all I slice off what's good enough for the buffet table, then, strip off rest and put in bowl for Mrs GM to make a curry or a Turkey casserole.

Last but not least, and the best bit, break up rest of carcass and with bones, place in a preserving pot, then the wife adds in left over veg, potatoes etc from Christmas day, puts water in plus other seasoning etc, boils and simmers. What she ends up with is THE most delicious and tasty soup you could ever wish for, add some crispy freshly cooked bread rolls - heaven! ;)
