Seeing as how you're only supposed to play to your handicap every 6-10(or whatever) rounds, beating it would seem to be obvious definition of a good round.

Personally, I've had a good one if I beat Fragger!

I voted other. I was going to put beat the handicap but sometimes it isn't about that. As long as I feel I've swung reasonably, done the best I can and enjoyed it then that'll do. I've had a number of rounds where I've played great for 15-16 holes and chucked two horrors in to ruin a buffer or cut. It's annoying, and I'll try and work out later why it happened but I'm trying to focus much more on the far greater number of good shots. Even when it's all gone west, there's always a couple of shots that will get you back.

Similar to Homer... If I have struck the ball well I am happy... Only problem is I have done this last two times and chipped/putted badly! Really shows its how you focus your game. I just need to show it the same attention on every shot.

When the company has been that good and they banter has been that constant that my sides are aching from laughing so much, normally on days like this the atmosphere has been so relaxed that the scores are low too

I chose other .

Had a good round in Medal last Sunday. Was one one over handicap, struck ball really well, two drives ended up behind trees being stymied so chip out side wards and 4 lip outs. It was great getting the ebb and flow of being over then under .

1 Other(a) Took money off my mates. :whoo:
2 Beat handicap
3 Other(b) putted well (no three-putts and a single putt hole or two)
4 Finished with the same ball
5 Other(c) had a good short game (very rare)
6 Other(d) not had to go looking for wayward balls (mine or FCs)

What Homer said

Good score (buffer or below) using only one ball on a dry sunny day - heaven!
