Your senior club championship.

I don't know for sure but knowing our seniors, I'm going to hazard a guess that it is stableford off the yellows :D

EDIT: Just checked HDID and it doesn't appear that we have one, at least there are no results for one for the last 3 years.

Closest most Southern Clubs get to Seniors Champs is likely to be a Knockout/Matchplay Comp - and off the Forward Tees.
 
Short memories, it was not too long ago that a senior golfer tied for The Open.

Most low handicap senior club golfers tend to bypass their clubs senior section and concentrate on real golf.
 
We have three, all medal-play and all off the whites (the blues would probably be a step too far!).

Old Boys' Cup - Over 50's
Veterans' Cup - Over 60's
Over 70's Cup - Self explanatory
 
I have never been low enough to enter our club champs, now well into senior status your post made me think , I don't believe we have a senior club champs comp, will enquire.

pretty sure it will be over 55 as the 'adult' Club Champs are pretty much at every club in the country


my club is best 2 round qualifying out of 3 then matchplay knock out- all scratch.

There is also a Seniors Open each year fully subscribed and sometimes won by a sub par round:cool:

Ours is played midweek, 18 holes, both a scratch and a net champion and also I believe a separate over 70 net champion. Pretty sure they play it off the yellows too

Seems to be...............Okay at Dunbar for example we have three championship Q rounds, off the full length course. Best two out of three gross scores go through to a match play situation, top 16 off scratch. These three rounds run the same as the main club championship............so' like myself in 2012, I Q for both championships.

Last year the top four senior players HC combined didn’t amount to 10. It’s a championship worth playing for and worth winning. The reason I asked, if it was done properly it would be worth playing for rather than some half hearted effort.
