went to the theatre this afternoon with my wife, my father and his wife, came home and watched the Eng v Fra rugby game then out for dinner. Now watching the Aus v NZ odi cricket but expect ill flick over to the UFC when it starts

Out to a local restaurant with the extended family to celebrate a 50th birthday. Was home by 10 and in bed by 10:30 though as I'm getting too old to party 😂

Where did you go? Went to The Boat House last night in Appley Bridge.

That's my local. I live about 5 minutes walk away. Was it good?

I went to the White Lion in Wrightington. Always good food and ales. Great beer festival at the end of May as well. Heartily recommend.

On taxi duty last night, with the odd gap so that I could watch the golf. Picked up my wife from Newcastle, blimey it was jumping. Then dropped my son off at a party and picked him up later. Not a classic but that's family life.

I tried to watch the boxing on the itv box office. Total fiasco. Whole thing crashed and had a blue screen all night. Happened to thousands all over the country. Social media went into melt down. And no response from itv.

Six pints of Tyneside Blonde in the local, got home and phoned for a Chicken Madras which was washed down with a couple bottles of Cobra. Not the best preparation for todays game!

Went for a pizza at restaurant Hornid in downtown Reykyavik. She had a salad, I had a pizza and shared a carafe of wine. £65.00

Not a cheap place, Reykyavik!!

I was in Reykjavik last weekend for a long weekend, loved the place, found majority of food places were expensive but you can price it before hand so you don't get stung with the bill. What excursions have you done so far?

Here for a long weekend - a special birthday for her and hoping to see Northern lights (but prospects not good). No trips yet but been here before so no burning urgency. Might go to Gullfoss & Geysir. Or might just go to the swimming pool.

Just found out the secret is happy hour - which actually lasts three hours. Drinks all half price and so about same as home in London.
