Hi all

next Saturday GM's Technical Editor Joel Tadman and resident photographer Kevin Murray are heading out to Japan on an exclusive trip to go behind the scenes at Mizuno HQ.

They will have access all areas seeing the manufacturing process and meeting R&D experts and the top people at the brand.

They'll be producing a big feature and loads of online/social content so keep your eyes peeled for that from the Jan 26.

Anyway as part of the trip they'll have the chance to get answers to any questions you have about Mizuno and their products. So if you want to know anything post it below and we'll do our best to get some answers.

Thanks
Mike

Obviously, rather more subtlety required (or maybe not!), but....

Why in tarnation can't they make top-class Drivers?!

The Fast Track concept has proven to be a groundbreaking idea and similar offerings have been adopted by other manufacturers, why were Mizuno unable to capitalise on this when they first brought it out?

Given that so many top end clubs now feature multiple materials and components, what is the future of the classic blade forged from a single billet of mild carbon steel?

Developing the use of Boron took a long time. What was the toughest challenge you faced on that journey and do you feel there is more potential in that material?

Tiger de Souza
A very impressed JPX 850 Forged owner (Suffolk)

They have never really gained a foot hold in the lucrative driver market and yet are capable of producing a range of top quality irons across the playing spectrum. Are drivers and fairway woods an area Mizuno plan to focus on and gain a larger market share

Did Tiger ever play Mizuno irons? If so,
A. Would you have liked to have capitalised on this association more?
B. Why was it kept so low key?

Mizuno are rapidly gaining the moniker of "nicest looking clubs on tour".

With this in mind are the aesthetics taken into account during design and manufacture, or it simply a by-product of the design to make the best club possible?

you clearly have some of the most recognised irons out in the market. For the player who wants to put a single brand set in the bag, what are your plans to bring woods, putters and balls to the same market leading position? Or is the strategy to focus on irons and leave woods, putters and balls to others?

When Mizuno brings out ladies' clubs, how do they differ from the male version? Is it just in the shafts and in the colours or are there differences in the technology of the clubheads as well?

I think one thing that isn't fully understood by golfers is the amount of additional workmanship that goes into producing a forged iron rather than a cast iron and the manufacturing benefits of the forging process. More insight on this and why Mizuno excel in this space would be great 👍

I really like the look of the Yoro Craft custom irons and I would like to order a set as my next set of irons. Any plans to make Yoro Craft wedges available to the UK?
