Mine would be getting to go home about 20 minutes into the day as there was no water in the school.

Scoring 4 tries in a match then scoring 3 the next weekend.

Normally racked up about 11 or 12 a year for school, has over 20 that year!

The 4 try game will stay with me forever.

Some of my GCSE coursework was pretty neat too, as was my A level biology and chem projects.

A few more sports ones make up the rest as well as a few I shouldn't mention.

Skool dinners.
one of me Bessie pals mum was a server. Oh how she looked after me.
Fridays fish and chips.
Chocolate sponge and chocolate custard.
Manchester tart.
Pink Custard.
Treacle tart.
Cornflake tart.
Ave just put another stone on.
me first kiss wi Adele willows, ten mins later her pal asked me if I always kissed with me mouth closed. For me second kiss with her I wished I had. She had a tongue like a lizard.

Our school entrance was a sharp left turn at the bottom of a hill. One freezing cold morning, a bunch of sixth formers thought it would be funny to throw a bucket of water across the road at the corner. Then we all sat back and watched kids on their bikes try to negotiate the icy corner. Not many did. It was carnage. Really dangerous in hindsight but bloody funny at the time.

3td year at secondary school, hopeless at maths.
Start of the new school year, new maths teacher, in walks Miss Ellis
Instantly fall in love and resolved to understand maths.

I passed O level :)

Still love Miss Ellis :)

Walking to school seeing others coming back saying "school's burnt down". As it turned out just one block but we got the day off!

Playing truant with my best friend Jane (sadly no longer with us). Oh the things we got up to when we should have been in school - happy days.

Playing cricket for the school old boys association at 15 and then being bought lager after by our Latin teacher

Sport, sport and more sport. County Championships, 200m & 400m. Football, rugby and cricket. Inter schools tennis and the Aer Lingus national golf championship.

I think there was some stuff in classrooms with someone stood at the front droning on.

Sport aswell , stuck my name down for everything ..

I remember 1 incident going to a football match one day, running late , i ran down what we called the back corridor (just a long hall way , harmless times) i threw/skidded my schoolbag the lenght of the hall (its where we dumped them) as i went through the door

What i never noticed was the vice principal with her back to me lecturing a few lads at other end of hall.. swept her off her feet up in the air like 10 pin bowling ,left her in a heap in the hall ..

I still didnt know what was going on when i got back as i hadnt seen it happen , i got called to office and asked about it , i told her id asked one of they guys to dump my bag but as it was my bag its my responsibility & i wouldnt hang the guy who did it ..

She praised my loyalty but i still got a few days detention ha ... fair funny tho

Another day we were in our transition yr doing home economics , it was start of december so there was beer in kitchen for making christmas cakes & puddings etc , 2 guys were drinking the beer when teacher walked down twords them someone threw a wet cloth and hit the teacher , we were left in assembly hall for weeks as all the teachers refused to teach us until someone owned up , no one ever did

Good ole school eh ..... hated it TBH
