Bit of a double post from a previous thread but thought would be interesting, and entertaining, for people to post YouTube clips of their favourite golf shot.

Rules;

1. 1 clip only (otherwise it's not your favourite!).
2. Feel free to explain why.

Mine....

Electrifying atmosphere.
Great shot under immense pressure.
The Tiger letting his guard down (a little) after.

Never get bored of it.

It's got to be the man on the left.
The shot had it all for me - The greatest stage - The final hole - He needs it to force a playoff - he's just embarrassingly duffed a chip and John Daly thinks he won it :D

Self confessed fanboy, but absolutely loved this shot. Biggest stage, big lead.

Has to be my idol. Big Phil.

He hit two shots at the Scottish open in 2013, that rank high for me. A flop on the 8th to about a foot, from the barest, most scorched lie imaginable.

My fave is from the same day but was to effectively win the comp

Saying this, fave shots for me change often. However that was an absolute belter.

Just hilarious.
If it hadn't been on video, I probably wouldn't believe it!!

0:18 Seconds - Sergio's fairway wood from the rough.

Don't know why but whenever I think back to this Ryder Cup it's always this shot.

No film of the shot (I think) but it has to be Seve at the Swiss Open from in the trees followed by a chip in for birdie

i think as consecutive shots go, where he was and where he put it to, then have the audacity to chip it in over the bunker and it's the Seve fist pump, he was one of a kind, a pure magician. But another truly great shot that Wasnt captured on film is this one his then caddy explains. Would of loved to have seen this.

But for me his final putt at St Andrews and his celebration to win The Open is just the most iconic sight in golf. Pure Seve Magic, sorely missed.

Good thread.

So many shots but this one comes to mind. Sandy Lyle, 72nd hole Masters 1988. I remember staying up watching it with my dad, willing him to the win the green jacket. (Sandy not my dad! ;) )

Best shot there has ever been in my opinion.

I think this one is over-rated. It's been done by others. Granted not as well, and it is a great shot, but it doesn't stand out on its own, if you know what I mean. Tiger's own top 10 on YouTube has better shots, IMO.

But anyway, my favourite (today) is this one. Phil, being Phil.

Can't find a clip, but in the 2008 us pga padraig hit it left of the green at the back and looked dead, Sergio and him were going for it and it was pretty tight, then Harrington hit this flop shot and I recall the look on Sergio face, it was the only way he could get close, it was fantastic to watch.
