So what is your favorite tipple then and what are you sat drinking at the minute? There has been a bit of discussion today that has brought up alcohol, so I just wondered what you choose to drink when you are sat at home.

I love malt whisky and currently sat with a Bruichladdich malt in my hand. I absolutely love malts and my girlfriend is starting to like them due to my passion for them. But she does find an Islay a bit hardcore so I got a Speyside Singleton malt for her to try.

Since losing some weight last yr I try and stay off the beer as much as possible these days (bar the odd pint after golf). Mainly a white wine drinker, pretty old school tastes, preference for something dry and french mainly, though always happy to try something new. Currently on a nice montagny 1er cru. Otherwise have the odd nice brandy

It didn't crop up on Wednesday at Newark (I wonder why?), but we have a tradition with our seniors that a birdie receives recognition with the scorer producing a hipflask for a small snifter. One of this afternoon's tasks in getting ready for Turkey tomorrow was to recharge my 4 hipflasks ready for the off - a decent malt in one, a good french brandy, any kind of rum and the special, which is a Wild Turkey Small Batch Barrell Strength Bourbon - nectar. They probably won't be opened.

I know why rosecott:)
Also carry a hipflask with a decent malt during the winter months.
My tipple of choice would have to be a good quality pale ale closely followed by a decent bottle of rioja.
Have a good trip away fella.

Another Islay malt drinker here, Laphraoig probably the favourite, a close run thing with Smokehead, but Caol Ila, Bowmore or Ardbeg equally acceptable. Warm summer days after a round it will be a cold pint of something, nothing definite, just what I fancy on the day. Rarely touch wine.
