What for you in your golfing in life is your best moment/result/round/shot etc

For me

Three years ago my wife's grandad passed away - the three of us used up play golf around MK through the summer until his last year and he loved his golf -

After he passed away the lads at his local decided to have a yearly memorial Golf day with proceeds going to charity etc

So the first one was held that year and unfortunately my wife couldn't play due to a hand injury so I was determined to be the first person to win it for her

And I did - was quite emotional to pick up the trophy but could see how much it meant to my wife and I felt so proud that day and I don't anything else I do in golf will match it. Luckily I have won it again last year as well

Good shout...

Holding it together on the back 5 holes, when a wreck inside, to come in miles under handicap and finish 2nd at the Reddish Vale Open last year.

Was my last chance to get a cut last season and, with CSS @ 2 over, was 7 under handicap.

Miles more bothered about that than where I came on the day!

Not actually playing, but getting Faldo's autograph one year and seeing him play at the matchplay, still a golfing moment though.

Spending the day with Maureen Madill and 5 live team inside the ropes on last practice day at 2002 Open.

Best playing was shooting level par for the first time, racing an eagle putt 6 foot past but making the return putt to do it .

Best thing so far for me would be my best approach shot, 176 yard par 3 struck it to within 1 foot and tapped in for a nice birdie. Hoping to better that this year though

Being a marshal at the Ryder cup at Gleneagles.

Managed to blag my way onto the first hole as I was a late appointment after helping out at the junior cup at my home course.

I was on the tee all day with the paddle to indicate where the drives went and the atmosphere was fantastic, best part once the tee was clear I was free to watch golf all day.

When I got back into golf, my brother was a member at the club I have now joined. I was busting a gut to play with him for the first time ever. I am a five day member and he is a full member.
Anyway I bent his ear to play in the Captains day comp. my first ever comp and first ever game with him, first ever day playing with a woman ( and only day til Mauritius in Dec just gone).
I only went and won it, I felt a right div. I had to make a speech and for someone who's hobby is talking. I never knew what to say. I never knew what the kudos of having your name on the wall meant.
I played a stonking round. If ever that day comes again, I promise my speech will be better.

Three stand out for me, winning our family society which we set up in memory of our mum, which we have been playing for around ten years.

Playing at Trump international with my son and son-in-law, truly a magical day.

Getting my first eagle, only had two.

Ok one more, playing Royal Dornoch, Tain,Fortrose, Golspie and Brora all in one glorious two week holiday in the highlands.

Winning the H4H at West Hill

A great course, with great company and probably one of my best ever rounds. I missed one putt but otherwise hardly put a foot wrong. More importantly was the significance of the day and the charity it was for, and the genuine kindness of the forum members who are always brilliant at meets.

Shooting first under par and sub 70 round - brilliant feeling.

You did well there mate I do remember you being quite shocked and surprised:thup:

Winning a Centenary 4BBB comp with one of my best mates is up there, together with playing the Old Course for the first with three other top mates. I like to share my top golfing experiences.

Playing 18 holes with my daughter in Spain is hard to beat as well. Her first ever 18 holes, and she had 36 stableford points, and beat me by one.

2nd year at our club and playing the final of the 5 Day Members knock out.

Walked off the 16th two down but won the 17th with a birdie and the 18th with a scrambled bogey net par 4.

So up 19th and I had a shot. My opponent was down in 5 and I had about a two-footer for a 5 net 4. I could hardly hold the putter and the ground and ball were shifting and shimmering in and out of focus as I addressed the putt.

I somehow managed to hole it and the feeling of total euphoria lasted at least a week. I have yet to better it.

Winning H4H at Blackmoor.

My first ever GM meet and my first experience of playing a heathland course, the rest is history as they say...

A close second was my first sub 80, what a feeling that was, gross 35 on the front 9 off the back stones with 5 birdies and 3 of them back-to-back, I now know it's in there, just got to coax it out again :smirk:
