'Pool fans (and music fans) might enjoy hearing the anthem as they've never heard it before, pretty damn cool to reinvent something so well known - to the X factor judges (I know you're all on here) - THIS is how you make something your own.

Note: talent required.

Talented singer no doubt , do i like it ? not sure , to me some songs can, sorry , should only be sung one way , YNWA is one of those songs IMO ,

even as a toffee amongst many friends and mates who are red that makes the hair on the back of the neck stand when i dragged to Anfield...

Good to hear all the positive/negative criticisms, the whole folk/blues scene is certainly not mass-popular and I can understand not wanting to hear such a song reworked.

If you can catch him live it really is something, I'm not saying this because he's a buddy, he really is a massively talented guitar player and story teller - he keeps the audience in the palm of his hand for however long he plays. Unfortunately he will probably never know the success of far-less talented guys like Ed Sheeran because this type of music isn't for everyone (as seen on this thread), but for those who like their blues in a whiskey glass this guy is the real deal.

If you liked the video catch him live, you won't regret it. He's playing with double bass legend Danny Thomspon next week and man I wish I wasn't out of the country!

Just had a look and he is in Liverpool Saturday night. As I am over there this weekend I may just take a trip to watch.

Are you going?

As with pretty much every other weekend this year, I'm not in the country - however this time it's for pleasure!

He played in Lincoln last year but rarely seen around these parts, if he plans on being about I'll let you know. Couldn't meet a more approachable guy and he'll be drinking heavily as his the stereotype for the evening welcoming anyone who loves music to join him so don't be shy!

Cheers, I will more than likely go but wont be doing the drinking as I have to drive back to Preston and don't fancy St Annes old Links Sunday with a hangover! I did look at his schedule and nothing near Lincoln this year! Will pm you and let you know.

Are you playing on the Saturday, whilst in Liverpool - LQ? Sadly, I'm going to Wales, so I'm not about. If you fancy a cheap game at Lee park, Scouser, Podgster or garyinderry may be about, if you PM them.
