You know how they say "putt for dough".....

Well Jim Furyk is currently on the 11th tee on the PGA comp at Harbour Town and his putting record is:

41 from 43 putts from 10ft so far this week!!!!

41 out of 43 he has holed.... Pure class. Proves being a strong putter will make you such a better player.

Worth noting the greens they play on are not the local flat track course with hardly any break, they slope all over the place and are rapid.
Imagine if you had that record on your course where if your within 10ft you hardly miss at all! Stuff dreams are made of.
Well done Jim! :)

They dont look very sloping to me, in fact a lot of putts with minimal break, they are also true. Play on those greens and you will hole a load more under 10 feet than your local track. And as SammmeBee says that stat doesnt indicate what proportion of under 10 foot putts there were. The stats are quoted to make the players look good :)

But...

It's the 3rd round, he's on the 11th hole. He's completed 46 holes so far with only 43 putts??
Doesn't sound right to me. Less than 1 putt per hole... I don't buy it.

Plus I think the commentator worded it as something like:
"Furyk has made 41 from 43 10-footers this week so far."
Now I'm assuming he's meaning roughly 10 footers and not being accurate to the inch on distance.

Id imagine he meant putts from 10ft inwards. i.e. 40 from 3ft,1 from 10ft
