When walking along a street and you think
"it's about a wedge to those traffic lights"
Or
"You could fit a couple of nice holes in that field"
What are yours?

Looking at friends gardens or public parks I think 'there are some dodgy lies out there'.

or when the sat nav goes 'in 500 yards turn left' I think I'm about a driver away. :D

You take a walking stick with you when going for a family walk not becasue you're an old man and not because you need to discipline the dog, it's in fact used as a pretend golf club to be swished at unsuspecting toadstools as you go! :o

Im glad you put "toad" in there, I have a habit of looking at roadsigns and imagining a fairway too.
My back garden is partially decked, when another bit gets done later this year, golf grade astroturf is being put down so can practice my putting! :)

When you've just watched live webcam footage of 2 old ladies putting out on the 18th @ St Enedoc in the knwledge that in 2 weeks time I will be doing that.

Putting out on the 18th that is, not doing 2 old ladies!! :o :D

You see the 3 hundred yard marker to a motorway junction and think "driver, wedge"

You look down at the grass while taking the dog for a walk and thimk "That'd be a tricky lie"

I do both of these on a daily basis.

I've been trying to get my folks to put a putting green into their massive garden since i took the game up. It's made for it, but i don't think it's gonna happen. booooo.

I'm currently looking for my first house and I keep looking at the ones with nice gardens, suitable for chipping practice. Even in the knowledge I can't afford any of them.

You dream golf,i regulary dream about golf and it will not get out of my head sometimes it drives me a bit mad.Even when ive played a round all i can think about is practice.Im definately obsessed.

Every time i'm out walking and i see a lake, pond ,stream, ditch etc, i look for the nearest dropping zone ! Living near Frensham Ponds doesn't help.

When the wife says "you love golf more than me" and you say "No love dont be daft" but in your head your thinking?????

I'm with you there. I walk of the 18th green and immediately start to think about the next time I can practice or play. In fact, I've been known to walk straight off the course onto the range to work on something I wasn't happy with during the round.

I also think about how it's only a 9 iron to the island in the centre of the pond when out walking the dog!
Infact if I play a punchy 9 I could bounce off the first duck onto the second duck and it should roll nicely to the centre. It is a large duck like.
