just had the e-mail with the so called draw for the clubs singles and pairs knock out,in the singles i have to play my pairs partner in a qualifying round??? even though some have got byes into round 2!!!! and in the pairs we have to play last years club champion and another scratch player both represented the county,could it be because i beat his son in the scratch comp when he was odds on to win it ????????? RANT OVER.

Oh well, at least it sounds like you have all the motivation you need. I know of someone who felt the comp secretary rigged draws against them. They always enjoyed beating them and hammering the comp secretary at every opportunity.

Edit: That sport didn't usually have handicaps (did for some comps) so the more you practised and the better you got, the more you won, which made it easier to inflict heavy defeats on the comp secretary.
