I know the papers periodically have articles like "50 things to do before you die", or things of that ilk, but for most you would need tonnes of money, or are impossible, like climb "Machu Piccu". What realistic or affordable ones are out there, or would you recommend? Whether you've done them or not, doesn't matter.

Copy and paste onto the list, as it goes on

I'll start with:-

See the northern lights.
Dance to "nightboat to Cairo" at a Madness concert.

Visit the war cemeteries in France and Belgium to pay your respects.
Get myself super fit and cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End

Catch a 20lb pike.
Score a hole-in-one.

Me and my best mate turn 30 at the end of this year so we are trying to do a few things throughout the year.

Started on the 1st of January with a loony dook.

We will also be heading up Ben Nevis soon.

Bungee jump
Parachute jump
Read War and Peace
Watch the entire Star Wars set in 1 day.
Watch the Masters from start to finish UNDISTURBED.

dive with great white sharks (in a cage obviously)

I am determined to do this before the age of 50 so 8 years to go! (yes really 8 years before any bugger says anything)

All ticked off as done...

Herself being the adrenaline junkie of our marriage has dived/snorkled on the GBR... Skydived in the Northern Territories and ballooned over Ayer's Rock and walked over the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge... Together we've climbed the highest peak in England, Scotland and Wales... [Yet to visit NI]...

For my 60th quite fancy doing a lap on the back of a 'bike with Randy Mamola...

Take one of my Grandchilderen to the Open...when my kids pull their fingers out.

Pay off my mortgage at an age where I am able to enjoy it! I want it paid off by the time I am 50. 16 years to go....

Also, want to have a single digit handicap by this point too! Hmm, I see the two dreams don't work well together..

I have seen the Northern Lights from The Lammermuir Hills. Quite spectacular.

I would like to see them again with my wife.
Now a pensioner I feel lucky to have done most of the things [within reasonable limits] that I wanted to do as a youngster.
I would like to walk the Southern Upland Way [Scotland] and the South of England coastal walk but I never seem to find the time. I have done bits of both walks.

I've seen the Northern lights whilst on exercise in Batus, Canada.

I've also danced many times to "Night Boat to Cairo" at Madness concerts.
