Mrs sev112 was phoned by new car insurance company today to complain that she couldnt have the No Claims bonus for teh new car she bought last week, because she coudlnt prove that she had a no claims record FOR THAT CAR !!!

And so they were insisting that she had to cancel the insurance on our existing main family car (that we still have) and send evidence of that cancellation before they woudl honour the insurance that we took out with them last week ,a dn paid in full..

What on earth is that about
??????

Bloody insurance-don't get me started. A taxi bumped into our car while the mrs was driving, nothing major but she did the right thing and informed the insurance company (Admiral) just in case the taxi driver claimed. The taxi driver completely admitted liabilty.

So the NEXT morning we get a letter thanking us for upgrading to business insurance. The reason being that it happened during business hours? Utterly ludicrous. AND they's taken a payment that morning for the "upgrade"

I cannot fathom how they get away with this crap. If i took the liberty of helping myself to my customers bank account i'd be in court faster than you can say "summons".

took me 2 hours on the phone to get the thing sorted.

Didn't renew believe it or not

Got our House insurance renewal through last week. Waay too much. Mrs Imurg phoned up and told them to stick it where the Sun don't shine and they said " Hold on a mo - let's retake the details and go through the cover and attach any discounts and we'll be able to drop the price.

15 minutes later they came up with a new price.

£10 more expensive than the original renewal......

Always always always get renewal quotes from other insurers for every insurance renewal. I always do, then I check the renewal online for the company I'm already with (as a new customer) and then, and only then, do I renew if the deal is right. Armed with the quotes they usually have a dedicated number if your thinking of not renewing who usually talk a deal - or I walk

All this started about 5 years ago. I am with the AA and had been so for about 20 years (1986) I was paying about £70+- pa, when I receive a renewal for about £140, a quick phone call and all of a sudden I'm playing £72+- this has now gone on for 5 years and every year I get about £50 off for one phone call.

The good lady works for Nat West and we have had our house insurance with them for 30 years, in all those years we have only ever had one claim. Last year their quote had gone up a silly percentage. I couldn't even be bothered to phone them so I got another quote from another company that was similar to the years before, I excepted that quote and phoned Nat West to let them know, there reply was, why didn't you phone us first we could have reduced it :D :D

This year we changed our water insurance (pipes etc) one of the cars and of course our AA call (see above) and saved over £120 in about 45 minutes. :D :D

Insurance, go to a comparision web site everytime. I'm feed up with showing loyalty and being ripped off.
