Right i have been thinking hard about this and with a little help from others i am willing to sort a golf day out for some time in Aug in Yorkshire.

So who is up for it???????

Well at this stage i was thinking Leeds Area as this would seem a mid point but feel free to throw any into the hat when i have idea of Numbers i will start to contact the short list of Golf clubs and see where and when we can fit in.

A few Q's for you all to think of what day would be best i was thinking a Fri but yet again i will go with the largest vote.

for me tuesday would be ideal as i could bring my regular 4 ball along probably.

But i can do mon, tues or wed, with notice though most days should be ok!

The quicker i get rough numbers the faster i can contact clubs to find out if they can fit us in. I am away after today until Sunday so i would say by Sunday night i would like to have rough numbers for mid Agu meet.

I would Say wk 33 which starts on the 11th untill 17th of Aug

Beat me too it. I was thinking about posting for a game in Yorks - especially as they seem to be happening everywhere else.

Count me in. Live in Sheffield, but happy to come to Leeds with enough notice.

Just a thought here looking at road links here Doncaster would seem a good option as it is only an hour and half from Peterborough,Birmingham,Manchester,Leicester and 45 mins or less from the likes of Nottingham,Leeds,Lincoln and 20 mins from Sheffield.You have lots of major roads that pass Doncaster M1 A1 M18 M62

And i have not forgot Parmo Cant drive but i am sure a lift could be sorted i have friends who would play who live in Leeds .

Your Thoughts ??? just think this may increase the numbers Oh and Newcastle is only about 1hr 50 away too

I've played (never well, its a challenging course) Bawtry Golf Club in Austerfield (nr Doncatser, of A1M) - its a good golf course, and if you are going to travel may as well make it worth while.

Only 5 mins from M18 and 10mins from A1

May be worth moving to a vote option with 3 courses listed (1 X Doncaster, 1 x leeds, 1 x Other) and go with the most popular among those who want to play.

Same here for lifts although I'd really prefer Leeds to a drive out anywhere simply for health reasons
