was in the pro shop and must have tried every putter in the shop. nothing came close to the feel off a tracey yes putter. i had never used one before. i phoned my brother and told him and he says that his brother in law who we play with in the summer swears by his yes putter.

the yes putter seemed to caress the ball away where as the others just felt like metal hitting a ball and bouncing off.

how many of you use them? im very very tempted to tell you the truth!

the tracy 2 putter is a lovely putter along with mallet type head ,i think it is called marylin
great feel and roll, i had both for a good while before i got my Scotty

I currently use a Centre Shafted YES C-Groove Carolyne  Liking it a lot..........

I like the feel / roll off this putter, only other Putter I can get rolling the same, are the Taylormade Range, face grooves on them too

OK I'm going to buck the trend - a little.

Lovely looking putters - some odd shaped but they still look good.
I found that if I didn't hit the sweetspot (or thereabouts) I got a very inconsistent ball speed from the face - sometimes it would go nowhere and sometimes it took off like a startled rabbit.
From the middle it was fine bt the off-centre strikes were very inconsistent. I had a Marilyn...
Now I'm a better putter than I was then it may be worth having another go though.

I'm in the same camp as imurg. If it wasn't bang out the button it would roll dead, and every now and then you'd get a flyer from no where. The rife I'm using now is by far the best putter I've ever used, it's bloody sexy too!

I get what you're saying but I still find mine more forgiving than a Scotty or other Answer style putter. I used to have a ping that was all over the shop, 6 foot short or 6 foot past. The Yes seems to work much better for me :)

just to put the cat amongst the pigeons... I have a YES belly putter - Natalie head.

love it, noise off the face, easy alignment, balance.

I've used a Marilyn for the last two years and it ticks all the boxes for me - noise, feel off the face and the nicest roll I have ever had. I still try others in the pr-shop or AG all the time, but never been tempted by another. Bought it on ebay as well, so a bargain at £35.

I think the feel is down to the grooves which help get the ball rolling with less skidding.
The custom fit available is also a great way to get the putter that suits you.

I've never been a fan or liked any of the models when I've tried them. Something about the look and the way they sit put me off. I'm sure they are decent enough putters but I'm quite happy that my old Anser 2 is performing well enough and I've a few subs I can call off the bench if need be

im telling you. i tried every putter in the shop. im having some order troubles with a hyrbid so i had time to burn in there while they mucked about blaming the UPS man and everyone in between. the yes putter was head and shoulders better. ill be back in on friday so ill have another test to see if i get the same results. it wasnt the nicest looking putter there but had the best feel. if i did a blind fold test im sure i could point out the yes putter easily.
